The official delegation of the Odesa City Council were delighted to make a courtesy visit that was welcomed by the Cabinet secretary of mining , blue economy and maritime affairs His Excellency Ali Hassan Joho .
One of the main purposes of the visit was to congratulate him on his new position as well as to strengthen the partnership in the fields of maritime, fisheries and blue economy among other important areas. Odesa City in Ukraine having already signed a sister-city agreement with Mombasa County in Kenya, were also glad for the possibility to discuss having further cooperation within the county as well.
One of the important topics of the meeting was the discussion of the speedy completion of mutual recognition of the Ukrainian shipping register and the Kenya Maritime Authority process.
