Today, in Taita Taveta County, a Sister City agreement was signed between Taita Taveta County (Kenya) and Odesa City (Ukraine).
The official delegation of Odesa City Council received a warm welcome in Taita Taveta. The delegation was welcomed by the Governor of Taita Taveta, His Excellency Andrew Mwadime. The purpose of the visit, in particular, is to establish partnership relations between the Primorsky District Administration of Odessa City Council and Taita Taveta County. This twinning agreement, among other things, will be useful in negotiations on various cooperation in the fields of culture, medicine and economics.
For Odesa, this is already the second partner city in Kenya. Next year, Mombasa and Odesa will celebrate the 5th anniversary of partnership.
To mark the establishment of a partnership with Taita Taveta, a symbolic sign indicating the distance to Taita Taveta was installed on the central square of Odesa, near the city hall.
