The Odesa City Promotion Office in Kenya Launch
Odesa – is Ukrainian city internationally, known for economic strength in transport and foreign trade. Mombasa choose Odesa as a sister –city and successful story of collaboration started 5 years ago. One of the realized and fruitful projects – charter program from Ukraine to Mombasa during COVID period, when local movement was banned and only Ukrainian tourists attended coast before Russia started war against Ukraine.
Today Odesa is expanding in Kenya. Deputy Mayor Pavlo Vugelman is making visit to Nairobi and launched the Odesa promotion office in Kenya. Wartime for Odesa is hard time, Ukrainian nation have to survive with the international support this is why Odesa is trading, organizing charity and cultural events to bring awareness for world community. During the opening ceremony, invited guests – Kenyan and Ukrainian diplomats, officials, business and art delegates have been introduced to the photo exhibition “Ways to Victory” by Boris Bukhman, famous photographer from Odesa.
Odesa is grateful to Kenya for support. Next point for official delegation will be Mombasa and Cost General Hospital, where Odesa will meet its fellow sister cities delegation from Yokohama, Japan. Yokohama city council have donated Odesa with mobile micro hospital, the same as Mombasa use and Ukrainian doctors have to study the operation.
Moreover, next week Kenya will host group of Odesa kids. The first charity tour organized by hoteliers and service providers with humble. Youth will enjoy Nakuru, Naivasha, Tsavo, Mombasa, Diani and Nairobi. Children have to recover from continues bombing and stay in peace in Kenya at least for two weeks.
